Early Color Field Paintings, I owe a great debt to Jean Paul riopelle and the wondrous colors that surrounded me at the time of these works inception. I also heve to thank my dad who was the one who gave me a box of oil paints and provided encouragment and space to let this my first series of work take shape.

The Formed Canvas series developed as a result of a need (a personal need of course) to push the two dimensional space out into the three dimansional world. Most of these works are large in scale and share a common thread in that they all break out of the two dimensional world.

The next sections of work being the most recent in terms of painting I have broken into groupings of years to allow easy viewing of the index pages. Although I see the work as having developed as a continuouse stream over the entire time period. The works explore many themes and utilize many different media, enjoy.

1991-93

1994-95

Sand Paintings, are a growing collection of works that have been developing over the course of a number of years. They usually utilize some form of photography as their base and then I go at them with acrylic emulsion and colored sand, some involve sculptural elements as well.
